Audio adaptations of horror Comics

Hello everyone,

     Not sure exactly where to post this so I went with the general category. I produce audio dramas like old time radio and I am interested in adapting some classic horror comics. I've seen some posts on copywrite but I'm looking to adapt into a different medium. Does anyone have any information on this or where to go. I know EC comics is off limits, but I was wonder about some of the other works on this site.
