Yellowjacket #7 update
« on: June 14, 2009, 05:51:00 PM »

Hey guys,

Just in case it got lost in the body of the text in my incomplete books list (Wanted Comics category), our current copy of Yellowjacket #7, posted by the venerable jcolag, is missing 2 pages from the Diana the Huntress story.  I've enlarged  Bill Nolan copies I had of the pages in question and combined them with the rest of the book, and the whole thing is now uploaded to my ftp folder.

So it's all ready for some as yet unknown moderator to go and get!  (How about it, Narf?  You seem to end up moving my stuff more often than not.)

Hmm, odd it would be incomplete D.
It's complete in my copy which I got directly from the original scanner...

Oh well, your version is now up, thanks!

Really?  Are they all jcolag scans?  If so, you're copy sounds like it had the original 2 pages missing from the file on the site.  Those would be higher resolution and match the rest of the book better than the versions I added.  You might want to check it out, when you've got a minute or two.

Cheers!

DHFH

PS. While I have a certain fondness for the enlargements I made to the scans, I think it would be better to have a whole, original book.

I should just mention that they're certainly not my scans.  I believe they were either lost in the crash and I re-uploaded them or I found them a long while back and didn't realize they weren't on the site until someone brought it up.

Someone should surely get credit, but that someone isn't me.

Ha!  Somehow, I thought it was more obvious--y'know, like, how many people just won't shut up about things and overpunctuate--but yeah, same old account, new human-pronounceable name.  (The user name is the old-timey college "first iniitial, a few letters from the last name" approach.  Force of habit after fifteen or so years on the Internet.)

I would've gone for "John," but that's someone's user name already.  (Shake fist at sky.)

I was poking around the profile tab and spotted a display name.  Since I tend to think that discussions work better when people are humanized, I figured I'd be, y'know, me.  Sorry about the confusion.

O.K. people,

For what should be the final time, Yellowjacket #07 has been made whole once more--now using original scans of the 2 missing pages which it turned out that Yoc had, so they match the rest of the book now.

They've been combined to the rest and the entire file is now sitting in my ftp folder in case anybody should want to get it posted.

So it's all together at last (again?)!  Anybody know who the original scanner was, anyway?

DHFH

P.S.  Those of you who downloaded the book with my resized scans which I had initially used to replace these 2 pages may want to hold on to them as one day they could be collector's items...  ;)

Ah, that had confused me, too.   Thanks for filling us in jcol--I mean John C!  I'd been wondering why "that other jc guy" had been silent lately.

Glad we all know who we are, now.

Thanks dhfh!
Going up shortly.

And yes, I DO know who the original scanner was - Phil Latter.
A fellow Canadian from the east coast and a Huge YJC fan that must be thrilled with the prospect of more scans in the future.
