I have just been informed by our web hosting company that they are going to move us to a new server.

We are a VERY big site and do use up a lot of disk space. So hopefully this will give everyone a bit of breathing space ... We may well have outages, they might be long BUT hopefully it will be to our benefit.

So hold on to your hat and fingers crossed ....

I'm told that you have backed up everything at least twice, which, if so, means we shouldn't be too worried.

I keep a copy of the whole site and others of the major bits .. Plus the hosting company should have them as well but I don't want to tempt fate

Reminds me of the Drunk Duck crash of 2005. The hosting company was SUPPOSED to have a copy of the webcomic site, but didn't. Some webcomics were lost because some creators didn't have copies of their own comics.

Hopefully the change will go without a hitch. *crosses fingers*
