My Little Underground

HLF runs this wee blog which regularly comments on the industry.  He also has very strong political views of a left wing and Scottish independence leaning, which will not appeal to a lot of our members.  Those who don't want to acquaint themselves with these might want to stick to the comic posts.
This one might prove controversial.  I post the link and leave it to the readers to comment:-

If it's of interest to anyone, HLF also has posts on the Great Glasgow Comic Shop Wars.  I'm a bit close to that but if any of you have questions, I'll be happy to join in on any conversations:-

The opinion on the November 7 post I would think most of us here would be aware of anyway and surprisingly he ends on an optimistic note, which I'm glad to see. Most regular posters here (from my observation) are BabyBoomer generation or thereabouts and if we don't know the real state of the industry
(In English Speaking countries anyway) then we aren't adults and haven't been paying attention. What brings us here is the urge to admire and celebrate and keep alive the work of those creators who were treated badly.
The comments on the November 6 post (which quickly degenerate into insults and name-calling) demonstrate exactly why I mainly keep clear of social media dialogue. (CB+ being one of the few exceptions)

I never cared about ins and outs and dirty secrets of the industry, just the comics themselves, writers and artists. Big business never really interested me.
