When I try to log in to download comics, the site just brings me back to the main screen and doesn't acknowledge that I have logged in.  Perhaps these new changes to the board have affected the log in portion of the main download page?

FYI, I have already tried to clear cookies, cache, and restart my computer and DSL modem.  Nothing works.  It is only with this site that the problem exists.  I use Mozilla Firefox 1.0.5

HI,

Seems we have a problem with our cookies on our system since upgrading the site.

I have tested your account and have had to reset your password but ill PM it you now.

I have changed the cookie settings on our system so clear all your cookies/cache/files and restart browser again and then try to log in with your username and temp password.

If anyone else was having problems logging in first clears your cookies/cache and restart your browsers so all is fresh and then try to log in again.

I'm having the same problem. Just registered. When I enter name and pwd, it shows the screen w/all the publishers and gives  "mysql_close(): 13 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home2/golden/public_html/engine/mysql.php on line 174", but still shows logged in as "Guest"

They are two separate errors.

Ignore the mysql error as it won't cause any trouble.

I have also spotted the "unable to login" problem and trying to fix the problem now, so bare with me and try again later

Hi.

Newbie member, at least I think I might be.  Your site says otherwise though.

I tried to join, and after being rebuffed by the malfunctioning spam-code, I thought I was being allowed to join without the spam-code, but then was told that I couldn't download anything.

Am I in, or out?

I used the same Moxargon name.

Great site though.

Can't wait to see those classic comics.

If you can't login requesting new passwords etc won't fix it. Its an error on the script side we are currently in the process of fixing.

If you want to double check the error is not your side I recommend you:
* Clear all cache, cookies, temp internet in your browser
* Close your browser
* Reopen your browser and try logging on.

If this doesn't work then you have to wait till we fix the problem and tomorrow we will give everyone double the bandwidth for a day to say sorry.

Can someone test to see if they are able to log into the site?

If you are still unable to I would suggest a quick clear cache/cookies/temp net files and then try.

Can someone post here ASAP to let me know if all fixed or still problems?

I'm now able to log in again and see my Control Panel.   The PHP errors in the thumbnail links are gone.    Thanks!

Thanks for confirming both bugs are gone.

They are both temp fixes but least it allows users to download now.

So here I am

I did the clear of temporary files and cookies and restart of browser(s)
IE7 or firefox 1.0.4  - same errors

Any ideas of what happens? and what to do?

Are you 100% sure you are using the correct username/password? This problem comes up normally when you use either wrong username or wrong password.

If you are sure you are using correct ones post back / PM me and ill try to log into your account and reset your password also.

This isn't really a malfunction, but since the board came back up, I'm no longer able to see information in any user profile other than my own.    I get the message "An error has occured! You can't just view any user profile."   Earlier last week, it was possible to view profile information, which is how I located Serj's email address to ask about FTP uploads.

Ill double check permissions on forum now as I can view forum profiles fine, but that might be cos i'm an admin etc.
