My wife and I took a couple of days off, again, me away from comics and digital, her because she's been ill.  Saturday we took the train from Edinburgh to Tweedbank (a couple of miles from Melrose in the Scottish Borders) and walked out to Abbotsford House, home of Sir Walter Scott.  There's an visitor centre with a good cafe/restaurant and an excellent exhibition of Scott's life, the life and times of Europe in his lifetime, his contemporaries and many intriguing displays.  Here's the site:-
