I have noticed that some files are labeled "fiche" and hard or impossible to read, with a  white, wide margin.  Are not direct scanings of the books?

Fiche stands for Micro Fiche format. It means that the comic which was scanned was in that format and the reason its of not as good quality etc as they are hard to scan. The better quality comics are paper ones but alot of Golden Age Comics are available in fiche format so sometimes its either fiche quality or nothing at all.

If we get paper format of scans we will replace the fiche versions.
