Is there a set time for bandwhich reset, or is it 24 hours from the first download you make on a day?

My current readings are:

Downloaded:  9 Downloaded
Remaining bandwidth: 1.24 MB remaining
Bandwidth time remaining:  27 Days, 5 Hours, 45 Minutes
Files remaining:  11 files remaining
Files time remaining:  27 Days, 5 Hours, 45 Minutes

I'm getting the "27 days" remaining thing also, so I'm assuming it's just another glitch that will hopefully be fixed now that the Admins have been alerted to it.

The site used to reset the limits automatically every 24 hours before it went to unlimited bandwidth, but now it says that "Reset limits is off," so I'm assuming they just do it manually now.

On another note, I have a new list of Freddyfly scans that need fixing, and I'm posting it in the "Report Bad Uploads" thread.

I am trying to do the reset thing but Yoc had it down. Really anxious for Janus to get back so he can reinstate Yoc to admin or at least moderator to get this going again. I am going to give everyone some extra time by reseting this morning then again at 6PM to get things back on Yoc's schedule.

No it must be manually reset every 24 hours. Yoc was doing a good job of getting it down at 6pm. I am trying to do that

I'm having a problem.  I have a message that says "Reset limits is off. When either of your limits reach zero you will not be allowed to download any more files."  I've tried multible times to log in and out and delete cookies.  How do I get my limits to reset so I can download again?

It showed you with no files Spazzz so it would be hard to be over your limit. Try it now.

I am also new and I have not downloaded anything yet.  It shows my limit as zero.  Can you fix it?

Well since Janus changed it no it only needs to be reset every month now, newbies are only allowed 200Mb a month.

The User CP changed to show that I have 20 files remaining but the Remaining bandwidth indicator still shows 0 remaining?
Can you re-set it on your end?

Hi,

Seem to be having the same download troubles as everyone else.
Cleared cookies and logged in again and still showing "0" downloads
available.  No hurry, hope you can fix it when you get a chance.

Yes. Sometimes it doesn't happen right away - it may reach 0 and stay there for a little bit but not too long..

I love this site and have enjoyed reading the comics.  Can I please ask a couple of things?

(i)     The red and yellow banner at the top of the screen says "Please Do NOT Donate for Now!", is this still the case?  I have been holding back my next donation because of this. 

(ii)     I have also read that 'Newbies' are limited to 200 Mb per month.  How long does it take for one to progress from being a Newbie?

Yeh, I've been here since August,2008 - don't post much and I'm still a "newbie"

I believe newbie through the various member designation are based solely on number of post and automated by the software. Janus wants to encourage posting and community. VIP is for contributers of scans or money.

Well,since I don't have anything to scan at the moment (Sadly), when will donations be accepted and how much does one have to donate to become a VIP?

Still think the newby status should be based on more than posts,such as time, while I don't post alot I do visit and read the board regularly.

The main reason is trying to establish a sense of community here. While someone could log in, download and leave, it's the sense of "family" (hope I'm not being too corny here) that makes this site special. I've belonged to many sites over the years covering a wide range of topics and this is far and away the most friendly. The people here are serious about their hobby - obsession maybe for some  - and are dedicated to it and this site.
