they remind me of sketch up scenes on site artist at movie and tv studios use. Its like all of the art is in rough draft but it isn't intentional but hey they were freebies - several family restaurants in US had freebie comics on their paper place-mats used for kids and a coloring book with comics about their own restaurant.

these were all roadside Americana chains that were at their height during mid-century style period in USA - Did regional chains in Europe have the same ? Im talking sit down waiter service not fast food.
