Another superb English artist I've never heard of. Stylistically Drury's art is reminiscent of the pen-and-ink illustrators of the teens and twenties, but his character designs are modern so there's no old-fashioned look to the drawings. Though the story is narrative-heavy, there are several interesting "montage" pages which move the story along without huge captions or balloons. The cliffside pursuit on our page 50 is the best example. The way most of the drawings are vignetted and don't touch the panel borders suggests they may have been cut and pasted from another format. However other Canning adaptations In SDL have been original material, so maybe that's just the way Drury drew it.
