Good evening. This book in a section in another language is written in Russian and the biography of the artist Joardaens (Иорданс) is described in it. This is not a comic book, but a description of his paintings.
This artist lived in the seventeenth century and was one of the prominent representatives of Flemish painting. The book was published in 1959 by the State Academy of Fine Arts of Moscow. (former USSR).

A truly remarkable artist - outstanding use of form, contrast and implied movement; excellent delineation in faces in particular and some cheeky expressions. You almost feel as though you are there within the painting sharing the moment
