Cheering news that Frank Cho's Jungle Girl omnibus from Dynamite is about to hit the stands (392 pages! That goes straight on my Xmas list!), leads me to ask who are your three favourite jungle girls - and why?

A genre in its own right in the Golden Age, there are many to choose from, some off the top of my head:

Sheena, Rulah, Cave Girl, Tara, Tiger Girl, Nyoka, Camilla, Judi, Taanda, Tangi, Tygra, Shirl, Judy, Lorna, Pantera Bionda, Pantha, Rarotonga...........

I'm not sure all of those are correct and I'm sure I missed many. I'm not as familiar with the golden age as some of you guys, so I'm eager to be informed!

Fantomah, Panther Woman, and Kazanda, if only for how surreal and fantastical their adventures could get.

Baldly stated, I don't like jungle comics.  Or books or films about jungly things.  The one exception is Ghost Who Walks.  Tarzan: can't abide him.  So I'm in no position to comment on jungle girls.
Electricmastro, you could add Pantera Bionda to your list, or the other language versions.   See our Spanish section.

Betty Burd is an interesting example I've never seen listed as a jungle girl, probably because she was a minor character in various Bell Features books.

She was an author and expert archer who decides to write a book titled "Life in the Jungle" so she moves to the jungle for research.  ;)

Here's a list of known stories.

PDF scans of most of those issues can be found at https://epe.lac-bac.gc.ca/100/200/301/lac-bac/bell_features_collection-ef/BellFeaturesCollection-findingaid-2016-06-21.pdf

I like Sheena although Bob tends to save her a little too often for my taste, and I like what I've read of Cave Girl and I love Fantomah for her sheet bizarreness. I'm in the middle of a quest to read the entire Sheena oeuvre and then move on from there. I'm a huge Burroughs fan, so it comes naturally. The Lost Continent intrigues me. Where can I find it? Is it on the site?

Paw and I are to some degree on the same page.
I have two ways to decide if I appreciate creative work.
First, am I interested in the genre?
Second, are the creators people whose work I would appreciate anyway? Two will usually over-ride one for me.
Tarzan? The first book is some kind of masterpiece. I've read all of the others, except for the one Fritz Lieber did. Nothing else of Burroughs. But Buroughs' universe attracts a disproportionate number of excellent creative people, particular the comics and comic strips. So, if I'm interested in say, Russ Manning or Joe Kubert, to name two examples, I will read their work. And, big confession, I liked the John Carter film!
I can't get enough of Matt Baker, so I will read something to see his art, even tho the story will leave me cold.
But, in real terms, the idea of Women (or Men) running around in Bikinis or swimming trunks in tropical Africa is ridiculous! I have lived a considerable part of my life in the Tropics in Australia, which, believe it or not, is nowhere near as dangerous as Africa. You would get eaten alive by insects, would get sunburned every day. would not go barefoot because you would step on something poisonous.
Mind you, as much as I love the Phantom, that head to toe costume would be mighty uncomfortable!
