More like the Tom and Jerry tradition, artist Harvey Eisenberg having worked both on that series and this comic. Co-creator Joe Barbera may have helped write this comic as well.

I've read in several sources that Joe Barbera DID write the stories in this book.  The short page count (the book had 36 pages) is because a 2-page text story and 5 advertising pages are missing.  I love Eisenberg's heavily animated drawing style.  The action is great.  Too bad Dearfield really didn't have enough distribution nationwide, and so, only lasted for 7 issues.  I've been waiting many years to read the rare issue, #3.  I keep hoping someone will find it and upload it on this website.

Yeah, Eisenberg is pretty detailed, yet also fluid in his art, calling back to the MGM house style with facial expressions and such. I suppose there is merit to him being referred to as the Carl Barks of MGM comics.
