Struwwelpeter! Ah Yes! I have previously mentioned elsewhere on CB+ that I was introduced to this by finding it in my Grandfather's study when I was very young.
Weird as we now find it, it was actually somewhat typical of its times.
Translates as 'Shock-headed' or 'Shaggy-haired' Peter'
If he looks familiar, here's why!
The influence of struwwelpeter.

There is another copy on the site, somewhat differently named, but I can't find it, even with a search.
This is an excellent edition, thanks to Lyons.

Panther, do you mean this book? What is very interesting: The "Struwwelpeter" stories in this 'Funny Book' from 1856, are not from the original artist either.

I am well aware, that I have not posted the entire link. I have seen several times, that other members only post the last part of a link, starting with the question mark, so that this last part then had to be inserted into the browser line, after "h...s://comicbookplus.com/". I was wondering about it, but I thought, okay, if that's the norm here at CB+, I'll do it too. That was the reason.

Here is the complete link:

Comickraut, took me a while to work this out, its not obvious.
If you reply to a post when it comes up in show unread posts since last visit you won't get a link to the post unless you cut and past it yourself.
But if the original post was under the book  itself in 'Comments' there will be a link automatically generated on the post.
So if you are commenting on the comment, click on the book, click 'add comment' and when you save your comment, the link to the book will be automatically generated.

Cheers!

Thanks for the explanation. Did I get it right: It is better to reply to a comment on the page of the book itself and not in the "Unread Posts" section?

When I post an answer in the "Unread Posts" section, it doesn't appear under the comment column on the page of the book, where it actually should be. Did I understand that correctly? :-\

In the analog world a lot of all was easier, however there was also fewer free comic books from the Golden Age for everyone. ;D
