These are really nice stories for children of all ages. ;-) I especially like the fairytale-like in the first few issues.

They were reformatted reprints of Cady's syndicated newspaper strips. 

I much prefer longer stories.  So, I would have liked stretched out 6 to 10 - page versions of those one and a half or 2-page comic book format stories, with expanded plots, even possibly using the same basic plot elements (more on the structure of Carl Barks' 10- page, domestic tales, especially those instructional and moralistic stories (like Uncle Scrooge's lessons in economics (1951 corn crib money tornado), and stories in which Donald's being greedy, lazy, selfish, blinded by lust, etc., backfire).

After reading comics like Happy Comics and Giggle Comics, I can now better see how much of a humanly and emotionally rich approach Barks had with his characters. A lot of funny animal material seemed to resort to not only straightforward buildup to one gag, but also constantly had characters with annoyed attitudes that get to the point of wondering why characters are ?friends? in the first place. Bungle of the Jungle from Giggle Comics was probably the worst case in that respect in that I found nobody likable at all, and too annoyingly so even for comedy?s sake.

Yes, "Bungle" is probably the Sangor Studio-drawn Creston/ACG feature I like least.  And, normally, I like Dan Gordon's artwork (Superkatt, Puss&Boots, Snooper, Alkali Ike, Cookie) quite a bit.
