It'll be fun to read a graphic novel on Elvis' early career:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/elvis-presley-gets-a-comic-book-origin-story/ar-BB1bR4fm

But how about Elvis as the hero in his own set of adventures? As a late-fifties singer who has a secret second career as a private eye perhaps? Guest stars in every story could include artists from the period - Jerry Lee (Gulp, Elvis - I think I killed my wife), Debbie Reynolds (Oh, Elvis, I think I'm being stalked by my mother!), Lana Turner (Gee, Elvis, I don't advise you date my daughter - who knows what might happen) and so on.

Any takers?

Well, he did go and see Nixon and volunteer to go undercover as a drug narc for the FBI. True story. I think they gave him a badge or a medal.

This is the best fictional Elvis. I think there may have been a comic too.

I wondered who would launch an Elvis bio-comic. Surprise: it's the corporation that "owns" Elvis' estate! Big surprise. This is bound to be a carefully-sanitized hagiography. It'd be more interested to see an unauthorized bio. Though of course they'd get stomped on by "Z2 Comics and Authentic Brands Group (ABG), a global brand development, marketing, and entertainment company and owner of the Elvis Presley Estate."

Absolutely - I love Bubba Hotep - can't understand why nobody's made a TV series - though I suspect it has something to do with the power of the Elvis Presley estate as Crash was saying.

In a similar vein, I recommend the book Buddy Holly is alive and well on Ganymede by Bradley Denton - great fun
