Sometimes, you discover something you never knew before:

I can't believe they never made this - it would have been the highlight of my childhood. Is it too late to lobby for a rethink?

Years ago I read a sci fi short story I thought would make for a neat film.
On an island resort the owners decided on a publicity gimmick. They engineered scaled down versions of all the Kaiju movie monsters to amuse the guests. What could possibly go wrong?
The little monsters soon go out of control. Imagine the worst behaved puppies you ever saw only with the powers of Godzilla and Mothra, etc.

That would make a great movie, but copyright problems might be a nightmare.

Sounds a bit like Gremilns, tho.

Except for the scaled down aspect, that's pretty much Jurassic Park. I wonder if JP was "inspired" by that story?

Batman v Godzilla did kind of happen, though not with Batman nor Godzilla. The japanese Spiderman show. In that version of Spiderman (commonly known as "Supaidaman" due to japanese spelling/pronounciation issues), spiderman is actually from an alien race, and winds up fighting giant monsters in his giant robot. If this sounds like power rangers, that's because it's where power rangers (super sentai) got the idea. There had been a few seasons of the sentai shows prior to the supaidaman one, but they lacked the giant robot/monster aspect & unlike later shows wereonly known as "sentai", the "super" part was added to the ones which added in the giant robots.
Ths, if batman vs godzilla had happened, it might have looked something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_C7XjidN090

I've read the story that inspired Jurassic Park. Don't remember the title off hand but it was in a periodical, perhaps the Issac Asimov magazine. It involved only Velociraptors bred to guard a reclusive billionaire's estate in the Everglades.
