What are your faves?

Hey guys! I'm looking for some new comics to read. Could you recommend some of your favorites? I'm looking for comics that:

have color pictures that look good
don't have really small crowded words in the bubble -- my eyesight is a little iffy
don't have anything offensive, like using WWII-era words to refer to Japanese people
sex violence and rock'n'roll are okay though :)

Hey Bob, Welcome!

Your specifics are actually quite broad.
So I' m going to suggest you look at the Dell comics. Here
Dell Comics / Western Publishing
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1507
have color pictures that look good? Definitely. And well-told stories.
don't have really small crowded words in the bubble - mostly
don't have anything offensive, like using WWII-era words to refer to Japanese people - Well they were WWII comics and that wasn't offensive than. And Japanese Propaganda wasn't any better. We were at War with each other. People were being killed.  But you won't find much of that in the Dell books.
Sex violence and rock'n'roll are okay though. Not much of that in Dell comics. Some Violence but most of the sex in Golden Age comics was subliminal, and there was more Jazz than RocknRoll.
Anyway, welcome aboard and get acquainted.

Hello Bob.  Welcome to CB+.
Panther has made a great suggestion.  There is a lot of excellent reading to be found in Dell comics, and different genres.
Me, I'm partial to a lot of the Quality comics and you should try some issues of The Spirit.

Also Blackhawk, if you avoid #10 which is still a war issue:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=881
Lady Luck is fun and well drawn:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1313

I'm also a fan of the Tower Comics heroes.  Try Dynamo:-

Thunder Agents:-

There are many enjoyable westerns on site, so have a look.
Let us know how you get on and please join in the conversations.
