As a kid, I used to like making dioramas. A picture from a glossy magazine would be the background and in the foreground cut-out pictures of superheroes pasted on card with their feet folded to make them stand up. When I saw these, I was humbled:

This kind of reminds me of the 2-page Table-Top Dioramas that Joe Kubert used to include in the DC war books, circa 1972 to about 1974.
