Happy 70th birthday to Dez Skinn - for many years the engine behind the growth of the British comics industry - particularly through the 80s.

I was once involved in a comic convention organised by Dez. It was totally chaotic IMO but somehow it worked. Perhaps because of the chaos, everyone had a great time.

Happy birthday from me too.  I've met Dez on a few occasions, mainly London cons, but also once in Glasgow, I think.  Memory not too good about some of the goings on back then :-[
