Does anyone own any Golden Age (or Retroverse to use a current term) action figures?

Decades ago, I used to own quite a lot of action figures - mainly to play with my son who was young then. Over the years, like most things, they disappeared - largely because my son passed through a phase when he liked to 'adapt' the action figures into punk rockers.

Neither of us gave a moment's thought to the weird idea that you should keep action figures in their original packaging - what's the point of having a static action figure?

I have too many action figures and no proper display cabinets for them.

My main problem with far too many action figures are when the packaging consists of a plastic bubble GLUED to a backing board.  It's IMPOSSIBLE to open without destroying the packaging!  For me, this problem went all the way back to MAJOR MATT MASON.  Anytime you wanted to buy individual figures-- and in many case, the "equipment" as well-- that's how they were packaged.  Even as a kid, I thought it was disgraceful.

Some years back (before money got too tight), I began to see some companies getting around this with plastic bubble containers that could be SNAPPED open and closed again.  Damn, THAT's the way to do it...

The ONLY action figure I've buht recently was this one of EDGAR ALLAN POE-- which comes with a Raven (heh).  As seen in this image, it comes in a box that can be opened & closed easily.  Like I said, THAT's the way to do it!
