Here's an interesting thing.

Andy Capp has returned to the Mirror using old strips but with new text inside the word balloons:

It's not entirely surprising - many Andy Capp strips from the sixties and seventies involved the work-shy scrounger clobbering his missus for one reason or another (although in fairness, Flo would often give as good as she got) but will this lead to other re-creations of old strips?

Anyone fancy having a shot at re-scripting Golden Age strips to remove stereotypes and - umm - violence?

There were a group of comedians in Melbourne in the 70's who used to screen terrible old movies, like Steve Reeves sandal epics,remove the dialogue and then make new dialogue uo on the spot while they screened the movies.
