Oh dear.  What is all this? Everyone looking tough and hard with attitude - again.  I fondly remember The Web when he was hen-pecked and washing the dishes in his super suit.  Can't we just have costumed fun without all this false emotional nonsense and the world ending every other minute?  I tried to read the recent DC updates of these characters and gave up pretty quick.  I think age is catching me up.  The Mighty comics were good fun, especially Too Many Heroes and I love the GA Shield, Black Hood, Hangman.  I'll stick with them, thanks.
Oh, now I get it - it's the new X-Men again and I bet War Eagle is the first to go.  Anyone taking bets?

Too Many Heroes is one of my all time favorites. I hated Reinman's art but loved the Mighty Crusaders stories. Yes they were FUN

According to reports, DC has signed a 1-year licence renewal with Archie Comics.

I don't know why DC just doesn't buy them out. DC actually licenced Captain Marvel from Fawcett till 1991 (!)  and had to pay a fee every time to use him,or they arranged for x-appearances a year under the licence. Unlike the Archie Deal, DC got the copyright on the stories they published as well as handling merchandise licencing for Fawcett.

That's why Roy Thomas couldn't use the Fawcett Characters in "All-Star Squadron" and Why Bulletman and Bulletgirl only appeared in a couple of SHAZAM! stories in WORLD'S FINEST.

I can imagine the additional awesome that could have been if Thomas had been able to use the Fawcett characters in All-Star Squadron. All-Star Squadron, along with The Invaders, remains among the very highest of the comics I would want with me if I were stranded on an island with Liv Tyler.  ;D

You'd still read comics when you're stranded with Liv Tyler? That's dedication.

Ah, now I see.  This young lady appears to be a thespian and catwalk prancer.  I'm sure that as her appearances in hollywood moving pictures were in colour, that is the reason I'm not au fait with her name and career.  I've only just discovered talkies. There are rumours that an "actress" by the name of Miss Lauren Bacall is going to be rather good.

I wonder when The Black Hood will turn up.

It's interesting that they are able to use Fly-Girl but not The Fly/Fly-Man :)
