I have just picked up from my newstand the latest frew Phantom comic. And I l learn that Claes Reimerthi has passed away on July 23rd.

Thank you for the news Panther.  A sad day.  While getting why his historical are not to every phan's taste, I think they are very readable and exciting.  To many other phans, Reimerthi's work was the mark of great entertainment. Although I have a selection of Scandinavian issues, the languages are a barrier, so the Frew reprints are a godsend and it's to them I'll be returning this weekend for a binge on Claes stories.
Another great has left us.
