Very Awkward cover. Looks like the art department couldn't figure out how to put both the image and the logo on the cover effectively, so they ruined a great image and ended up with a mess.

What they did was really stupid!  I hoped they fired the editor for letting that go to press!  Anyone who claims to be an editor should have stated their cover drawing size limitations based on room needed to the cover margins and the size of the printwork desired.  After informing any new artist of those limits, any art received oriented incorrectly should be rejected (and rightly so).  I can't believe they did that just to be different, so their book would stand out from all the rest on the comic book shelves or racks!  Thenewstand manager wouldn't display it horizontally, no matter what a distributor would tell him.
