I took several years of Spanish in school, but I don't remember enough to fully understand this. But the character looks fascinating. Even though he has "Robot" in his name, it looks like he's more similar to Iron Man, a human wearing armor. But is he trying to make criminals think he's actually a robot? And does the armor give him powers? I remember reading a DC Comics story of their golden age Robotman where he met Robot Girl, but she turned out to be an ordinary woman who was trying to pass herself off as a robot. That's the only similar American character I can think of, but I don't think she ever made a second appearance.

I wonder, is this a recognized psycho-sexual condition?

There is a Murdoch Mysteries episode where an inventor passes off an armored suit as a fully functioning robot to garner a government contract. His Babbage engine derived robot brain having failed in testing, a midget being recruited to operate the mechanism.
The suit used in that TV episode looks very much like a armored suit I saw in a turn of the century publication found on this site. I'm sure they used it as an inspiration. Both used flame throwers mounted in the arms.
