Problem viewing the website on my iMac
« on: January 08, 2022, 03:00:59 PM »

Hello,

I'm a big fan of Comicbookplus and often read comics on here.

I seem to be having a problem with establishing a secure connection to the site on my iMac Late 2009. When opening the site on Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox, I get the message 'your connection is not private.' This is followed by 'Attackers might be trying to steal your information from comicbookplus.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).'

Having used the site so much, I know of course that you are perfectly reliable and trustworthy!

There's a chance this may be because of my iMac, but just in case it isn't I thought I ought to let you know.

Cheers,

I don't use Macs but i sometimes get a similiar message - from other sites - on Win10. This is not a warning about CB+ but a warning about your internet connection. Usually comes  through your browser. What browser do you use?

They want you to install security add-ons in your browser.  I recommend doing so. You will find an add-ons link in your browser somewhere. It will take you to a list of add-ons. Check security and choose a few.
Should solve your problem.

Cheers!

Ok thanks for this! I usually use safari and my iMac was only set up about a year ago, I must have forgotten to sort out the security checks.

Happy new year by the way.

Cheers.
