Alan Grant has passed away.  One of the great comic book writers and a local hero in Scotland.
His work on Batman and Judge Dredd and his team up with John Wagner produced excellent stories for us all. But he was also great company, a really nice bloke who was happy to chat to fans and aspiring comic creators.
Sad, sad news.
