I really enjoyed this Andy Hardy comic. He gets in the usual scrapes trying to impress Polly Benedict, but there are some interesting twists, such as Andy working as a male escort to earn some extra cash. They use the word 'gigolo' in the comic, but I'm assuming escorts had a whole different connotation in the 1950s. All above board here. The art is really good. Thanks for uploading it.

I'm glad you liked it.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention that we were missing it.  I had thought we had all 6 of his issues uploaded.  I'm sure you will like all the other issues, as well as all the Henry Aldrich issues.  John Stanley is one of my favourite writers and storyboard artists, and Al Hubbard, and Henry Aldrich's penciler and inker (Bill Williams) are really good finishing artists, as well.  On the whole, I didn't like most of the "Teen Comedy" genre comics.  But these two series were excellent, in my opinion.

Al Hubbard always had such a strong distinctive style that he was one of the few Disney artists that I always recognized, even though I never knew his name.

Yes, I'm not a huge fan of all the teenage romance ones, especially if nothing much is happening apart from everyone mooning over each other. But these ones put me in mind of Archie, which I still like today. In fact, I've bought a few new Archie comics this year. It's good to see these Andy Hardy ones, as I loved the movies and didn't know there were comics.  Though I wonder why they didn't include Judge Hardy? He was a great character who always had a word of wisdom when Andy got it wrong, but maybe they just wanted to focus on the teen angle.

Yes, I really like the artwork, especially the action shots of Andy getting into trouble. The artist is really good at conveying the action and movement.

Your mention of Judge Hardy reminded me that there is another Andy Hardy comic here, Fiction House's Movie Comics #3 https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=18768

Great Bob Lubbers cover and interior art on that one, Scrounge. I remember finding it here with great fondness.

Oh thanks for that. Will have a look. I would have seen that movie years ago (probably more than 30 years ago) so it will be interesting to see the adaptation. And this one actually looks like Mickey Rooney.
