It is reported that Kevin O'Neill passed away last week.  Very sad news. Apart from his obvious talents as an artist, he was great company.

Sad news, paw. Kevin was part of UK comics that I grew up with. Nemesis the Warlock, Marshal Law, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and so many other classics. He will be greatly missed. RIP Kevin O'Neill, my condolences to his friends and family.

Quote
Ironically, O'Neill's work on the issue was briefly threatened when the Comics Code Authority refused to approve it. When pressed, they reportedly said that it was O'Neill's "entire style" they objected to.

We all need to thank Alan Moore for recognizing Kevin's talent despite his idiosyncratic style.
He and Kevin were a perfect match.
It would have been interesting to see what Kevin might have worked on next.
Hmm. Garth? I will have to look out for that one.
R.I.P Kevin.
