Hi everyone!

I tried to upload my latest compilation many times, that collects every appearance of the Hillman character Micro-Face.

The file is just 87 MB at most, so it's not a problem of dimension, and I didn't do anything differently from my other compilations.

Despite that, every time I try to upload it, I get Error 503.

What can I do to solve this? Has anybody faced the same problem?

Same here.  I had a 90mb file to upload but the upload failed with the 503 message.

I have had a look and the upload looks really quite slow.

I am guessing it is due to that. A 100mb file failed .. but a 68mb file has just uploaded ok. So not a "sudden" bug on the site.

I believe it is due to the length of time it is taking. Hopefully whatever  the "roadblock is" will just disappear as silently as it appeared.

I will obviously keep a VERY keen eye on  this!

I have had a look today and it failed. I have decided that this area of code has never been looked at in 10+ years. And Freddyfly has been having issues (uploading I mean!)

So I've shoved this to the top of the "todo list". Apart from it actually working, it would be nice if possible to have a progress bar etc. This is certainly not a 2 minute job, but I'll clear the decks and get cracking on it.

Meanwhile there is a separate admin system which works OK
1) We do update files from DCM. So if it is something they would house upload it there
2) If there is a link somewhere we can upload them we could grab them

And how knows it may fix itself. But too late sonny your days are numbered.

Thanks Yoc .. well after 5 hours work all I have figured out is that the file eventually is uploaded at a snails pace and then dies.

I am guessing copying from the internal upload temp directory to the download one is a problem. Had some nice status bars running just to tease me before bombing out!

No logged errors ... config looks good ... grrrhhhh

An update.

I've been working away at this and I have some new upload code which works shifting much bigger files. Progress bar as well!

I now need to integrate it into the site, which is another bit of a job. I've let a few things slide, so am not doing any work on this for a week to catch up. And then I'll start the final stage. It will be implemented before the month is out.
