Craig Yoe reported on Facebook that Jim Vadeboncoeur Jr (JVJ) has passed

Very sad news.  He was a very generous man, who touched a lot of peoples lives.  A lot of comic book fans owe him a great debt.  He'll be remembered by many, many people.  My condolences to his family and close friends.

Sad indeed, we owe him a tremendous debt for all his contributions. RIP JVJ.

It's one thing (and a great thing) to have a marvelous collection, but it's another to painstakingly index that collection using not only the books themselves, but also your encyclopedic knowledge of comic book artists, to pass down that information to future generations.  This is true dedication and I hope he knew how appreciated he was.
