Just learned that legendary artist John M Burns passed away on 29 December. What an incredible career. He started as a studio apprentice at 16 and announced his official retirement from comics this October--at age 86! Here is a brief career bio:

His art is new-to-me.  Gorgeous work.  Rest in Peace, John Burns. Edit: Actually, I am familiar with his art! I own and have read the collection, The Order: Die Mensch Machine.
