« on: February 17, 2024, 10:05:23 AM »

It's Will Eisner week at the beginning of March and Renfrew libraries have put together a program of events held at Paisley library.

Follow the link if you are in the area for a look at their offerings.

All events are free so that might appeal to the skinflints among you!

Yes Scotland participates  but as many of you will know, Eisner week is celebrated around the world.

I personally thought he was an ass but there's no doubting his talent and influence.

I didn't consider him "an ass".  Rather, he was polite, charming, an excellent conversationalist and surprisingly patient while listening to me going on about stuff he was more than likely aware of.  Perhaps the dinner we were having mellowed him but, I believe he was just as I describe, naturally.
Anyway, here is a note of the events taking place at this year's Eisner week in Paisley.  Perhaps other members in a more positive frame of mind could contribute a list of events in their locality, 'cos there are a lot of them 8)

Have you just reposted an expanded version of my first post? ????

I was talking to Howard Chaykin recently and he remembers him as quite rude about his work. An opinion many others probably have but at least some of those had read it. Eisner based his opinion on the cover without taking the time to read what Howard had been working on. He filled me in on a few other things regarding Eisner but I suppose everyone's a hero in their own story.
