FUN FACT: In John Ryan’s book Panel By Panel, Dr. Mensana's name was inspired by the name of a popular biscuit of the period.

I read that, but I couldn't find anything about Mensana biscuits online. Of course, there'll be a lot of things that existed that haven't made its way onto the internet.
