The cover's not bad, but I can't believe FAMOUS FUNNIES replaced Buck Rogers by Rick Yager with the absolutely awful "Barney Carr, Space Detective" -- but I guess this is the point where Eastern Color Printing lost the license to Buck Rogers to Toby Press (who only managed to produce 3 issues of BUCK ROGERS -- confusingly numbered #100, #101, and #9 -- in six months). Toby Press' BUCK must have been a failure for them, because that's all they did with the character. Fortunately 18 months later FAMOUS FUNNIES realized their mistake and once more got Buck back for #209-218 (with Frank Frazetta covers!) and Buck now got 12 pages per issues instead of the former six. Which was just in time for the company to quit the comic book publishing business, after a 21-year run... SAD.

But doesn't Barney Carr look a lot like Adam Strange on that cover?
