America's Greatest Comics #1 [Fawcett]
« on: September 29, 2024, 01:49:33 PM »

Hi. I recently purchased a coverless copy of Fawcett's America's Greatest Comics #1, which is currently only available as a fiche scan. In addition to the front and back covers, my copy is missing the first two pages of the Captain Marvel story and has some minor damage and discoloring but is otherwise complete. I would like to mail this comic to an experienced scanner to have it scanned for the site. I bought it with this in mind.

Please let me know the next steps in the process as I would love to share this upgrade with the world.

Anticipating this question: this is not the 1970s Flashback reprint with black and white interiors. All pages are full color.

Hi,

I will let someone know and they will help arrange having an experienced scanner work on it.

The completed scan of this book is being posted today. Scanned and edited by Superscan, with help by srca1941 on reconstructing the damaged pages. Fiche fills from a previous scan were used for the missing pages 1 and 2, and covers were provided by the Heritage Auctions web site.

Enjoy!
