Hello everyone,

my name is James and I am an Irish comic fan, for some time now, living in London and driving trains for a living.  I write for fanzines, and I also edit one, and these often have comic book content, (Free PDF jobs)
I report on comic book stuff for a couple of Websites, and have run conventions. (I am involved with one next year in Ireland, but that is it then for me, I love them, but they are hard work)
All good craic, hobby fun fan stuff.

Anyhow, I have been using this site for some time, researching Irish comic connections, and that has grown somewhat, to the point where two weeks ago, I got it into my head to write a book (or super sized fanzine) about Irish Conflict in 20th century Comics: Irish Rebellion, The Emergency, Nazi Spies and The Troubles.

(How many have thought the same... is this a dreadful path I am threading...)

So, knowing how limited my own knowledge is in comparrison to the amount of comics that exist, I thought I should take the dive into the Forums, and I will ask a question about leads etc,

The TAGS have proven useful on comics in my area of interest, but I hope I can find more comics that relate to the subject, crowd sourcing INTEL as one might say, but I will do a different post about that.

Very best JAmes

Hello James and welcome to CB+ Please excuse my tardiness in responding to your intro.   My excuse is that I've been occupied with another fan trying to get the Christmas issue of our fanzine, "Tales That Astonished" finished and out. Should be this weekend.
You have started on an intriguing, if difficult project. and I'm not sure I can be of much help.
Would you consider sharing your 'zines here on CB+? Even if it's old issues , they'd be most welcome.  We have a section for fanzines - https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1509
Anyway, dig in.  At least you'll find some great comic book entertainment.

James,
Interesting project. Can't help you with it, nothing comes to mind from the CB+ archives.
I would look at the British section here.
Anyway, welcome and good luck.

cheers!

Thanks Paw Broon, I may well post a zine or two then.

There are quite a few Irish mentions on the website, Panther, but thank you.
