A Black Terror Question

Does anyone knows why BT sidekick hair is sometimes black and sometimes blond? does BT has two sidekicks? is there any explanation to this in the stories or this is just an artist preference?

I do not know for sure, but I'd wager it was the printer who colored the plates/pages(???) at the time.

This brings up the question... in the FLASH GORDON serials, was Dale a blonde or a brunette?  (I know, the first actress was blonde, because blondes were "in" that year, then for the 2nd film they dyed it to the correct color.  I mean, do we assume the character was a blonde who dyed it, or a brunette who bleached it? Just one of those unanswered mysteries of the universe...)
