Diabolik
« on: May 31, 2011, 05:27:39 PM »

Being a huge fan of Italian antihero comics, I thought those of you who hadn't yet found this amazing substrate might fancy a look at this site:-
http://www.diabolik.it
All in Italian, I'm afraid, but if you click on the "Fumetti on-line" button you can "read" some short examples - or at least look at the pretty pictures. Don't just go by the few English language versions you may have had a look at because there's so much more, not only to Diabolik but also to Kriminal, Satanik, Genius, Sadik, Zakimort and so on.
I'm having difficulty finding something similar for the greatest Italian villain, Kriminal, but here's a link to the Wiki page which shows a nice late series cover:-

Here's the Cool French Comics page on Satanik (Killing) - not to be confused with the Italian villainness, als o called Satanik.  WARNING, this is a bit adult. http://coolfrenchcomics.com/satanik.htm
These were photo comics, a genre popular in Italy, as opposed to Kriminal etc., which were proper comics.
I realise most of the folk on here will know about this site but for those who don't and might be interested, this is the main page:-

You should take a look at the Tintin v. Batman page

There is a site for the Killing revival, as it were, but I hesitate to post a link as it is a bit brutal.

I think I've mentioned this before but there is a series of Killing films made in Turkey, where he's called Kilink.  Needless to say, I have the ones that still survive, and pretty awful but good entertainment they are too.
