Yeah, sometimes it's a hoot.

Couldn't get the page to enlarge closer to the edges of the screen using the batch function tho', even when continually enlarging the width size up over 1200,
so settled on the 1125 which is what worked before when formatting each page independently that eliminated the screen borders..

Wonder why that is?

Sorry Rez but I finally got to check this scan and it wasn't Firehair #5 though you can hardly be blamed for thinking it was.
If you check your very nice scans the indicia will tell you the book is actually...
Pioneer West Romances #5 [1950].

I've renamed the entry on the site though the file name when downloaded will unfortunately still be the same.  I also renamed the #6 book which was also a PWR book and moved #9 which was a Rangers reprint book!

Nice work on the scans - nice to hear you've gotten the hang of IrFanview!

Firehair No.5 is now up.
Finally got the batch conversion figured out so a little less time involved if it pans ok.

Pioneer West Romances is what 'Firehair' was briefly renamed between issues 003 Summer 1949-006 Winter 1949/50 after which it reverted back to 'Firehair' again with issue Seven Spring 1951 until the series went off to the happy hunting ground with issue Eleven Spring 1952.

Hope this helps clear things up.

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one to dissolve the memory of error which has connected them with another time and place of ill remorse,

sometimes a change can make a difference and help to propel that individual to a victorious summit where that one might find a degree of solace and success in their endeavors

and thus discover a new free reign in which to live, move, and travel...away from a past which haunts.

Thus I have taken it upon myself to attempt a climb from the mirey depths of self introspection and as tools continue to evolve I may yet again at a later time repeat the process as seems fit for the moment.

So for those that frequent this board and retain memory of old posts and events you may know of which I speak.

That Menace has a fun look - sorta like Centaur's Iron Skull for a mask.

Had a few teachers thru here that took pity on a struggling novice scanner to provide some direction that helped me get a readable scan up.

That cover was an early Kirby which is why I was singing the blues over it so much. 

You all've got me thinking of getting a better scanner now.
