Something quite delightful today.  A biscuit card set of 24 cards, published by Wright's Biscuits of South Shields in 1954.  Mischief Goes To Mars. The cards were posted on the excellent Bear Alley site and that's where the information about them came from. So many thanks to Bear Alley:-

Slipping in before the deadline - that is, my dinner is about ready - is a real treat from Ernesto who has been looking for this title for years.  Finally he got an issue. This is a New Zealand copy of Cisco Kid #8 from 1953.  It's in the odd format of a portrait cover and landscape interiors.  The art is excellent:-

Picture Stories From The Bible - a compilation from Swift. a British weekly.  This is a Boutje compilation.

Modifying this to add a L. Miller Robin Hood comic is now available. #20 of a 33 or 34 issue run from 1957 - 1959.  GCD says 34 issues, the British guide says 34 issues and notes that during the run there were reprints of Charlton; National Comics, and original British strips. But the indicia is worth a read.  All help greatly appreciated.  Many thanks to Ernesto.

Here we go again.  An avalanche of goodies from Mr Tweedy.
I've uploaded another 10 issues (I think, starting to get confused ::))
#5;9;16;42;49;78; 79; 102; 104; 106. Some lovely art in these and for me an extra treat as there is an Eric Parker story in this lot.
Now if I've got all this right, you'll find them here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3476
Mr Tweedy's scans take a wee bit longer to process as I have to unzip each file to extract the mac data, then re-zip and change the extension. But it's so worth it.

Another batch of Thriller Picture Library#170; 177; 180; 186; 205; 207; 208; 212.
I think I might have mis-attributed some of these. I think they are a mixture of leegsidd and Mr Tweedy scans.
Apologies.
There are 2 Eric Parker stories in this lot. #180 and #208.
You can find all of them here:-

I hope this next lot also pleases Andrew, and the rest of you.  I've added a new section for compilations from Swift, the British weekly, mid to late '50's.  There are now 3 comps available, Picture Stories From The Bible; Sammy and His Speed Sub (which is a great read) and Dixon of Dock Green, based on the long running tv show.  More to follow, once I've opened them up and checked them.  You can find these 3 here:-

Although whether you'll be able to download it till Mark fixes the problem, I'm not sure.  Well worth a look anyway.

What a day.  For the first time in a while, I seem to have been out and about and done lots.
But I haven't neglected comics and you'll find new uploads for your delectation and delight - I hope.
vollmann has already commented on one of the 2 issues of Love Story Picture Library.  And he's right - good stories. Also, a new section in newspaper strips for Ace O'Hara, a British strip which appeared here and in Australia, by Conrad Frost and Basil Blackaller.  Found on boutje's site and compiled by 4 guys, Ar, Comix, Ranjan, Udai, the first 3 stories are here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=3532
There are 3 tiers missing overall but it shouldn't spoil your enjoyment of a good, wee sf strip.
Just uploaded #4.  Now I need to get pasta on for dinner.  Venison meatballs in home made sauce, vino, bread and cheese.

These Ace O'Hara strips are an unexpected delight. The stories go off in unexpected directions and Blackaller's art is quite good. I also appreciate that Ace's girl friend is an expert mathematician and holds her own alongside the men. It was funny, though, to see that the Zarnians made her a custom transparent spacesuit so she could wear her skirt.

You said that deliberately with malice aforethought, didn't you? Fortunately I've just finished breakfast, so you haven't made me too hungry.
I'm looking forward to field mushrooms for tea, followed by Figs [From my own tree] and yoghurt. possibly with a pot of real Earl Grey to finish. I'm out of Port and Cigars!

Paw, I'm really pleased you have managed to escape Lockdown for a day or so at least. Hope the sun was shining.
Ir's the end of Autumn here, the best time of the year in this locality. We have a four-day holiday for Easter, the sun is shining, and all the imported European trees - and there are many, in gardens and parks, are wonderful shades of red, orange and brown. A real feast for the eyes!
Winter hits next week!
Cheers!

Oh I do love figs.  Sun is shining here as well although there was a frost overnight.  Been in the garden doing wee bits and pieces.
I've uploaded Ace O'Hara #5 - 10, all we have.  Were there more?  Only time will tell.
