Silver Age Deletions

I apologize if I've missed a posting on this, but can someone let me know what happened to all of the Silver Age books that were online until just recently?   Was there a copyright issue that required their removal?

Thanks!

Hi,

Well spotted!!!

No, what is happening is in the next day or two SA is being merged into the Golden Age comics. Where you can still find them. And that in turn will then be renamed Public Domain Comic Books.

It is part of a huge upgrade of the site. and eventually it will mean that all our comics will be easier to find.
Tomorrow you will find the first stage of it. But shuush don't tell anyone else about it :)

Perhaps when these kind of changes are happening, a little notice could go up on the main site on the appropriate page?

I was wondering myself. The other day I was reading the thread about Marvel renewing the Copyright for an ACG title, then yesterday I come here and the Silver Age ACG section no longer has any files in it. Then noticed the Dell section was empty and Tower was gone. I was wondering if it had been discovered those comics weren't public domain.

A simple little note like "Moving files, if something is missing check back in a day or two" would have been nice.

The new categories look nice though.

Mark puts a simply enormous amount of work into running the tech. and improving the look of CB+ and he does like to surprise us on occasion. This is more to do with his available time than anything else as, had there been issues with copyright, unlikely as great care has been taken in checking the SA titles, a notice/ warning would have been put up. But this is code, it's complicated and he hasn't a lot of hair left to pull out or fingernails to chew.  Sorry you were concerned. Enjoy the new look.

I was just noticing the changes today, and wondering about them.  The Pulp Fiction section looks interesting, too.
