My latest blog post focuses on pin-ups with new material that appeared in Marvel reprint comics:

I hope you find it interesting.

Thanks Nick. I loved those reprint books. I missed the first few years of the Marvel Age so they caught me up on my heroes. I read Marvel Super Heroes #1 several times. The Avengers had Cap, Hawk, Quick and SW so reading about this other team from issue 2 was great. I still have a very deep fondness for that Avengers team. You never forget your first.

That's a nice idea, nick.  Thank you.  Although I was able to find early Marvel comics here, distribution was patchy and so the reprint comics were most welcome and filled holes - not that you could always find every issue.  I haven't seen some of those pinups, so, more please.

Narfstar,

I really enjoyed those reprints as well. While i had some of the originals (through my older brother John) there were quite a few gaps, and it was gret to read those early stories of Thor, Ant-man, Human Torch, FF, the Hulk and all the others. I especially liked Fantasy Masterpieces, ny first introduction to the pre-hero Monster era and the Golden Age.

Paw Broon,

I'll see if I can come up with some other interesting gems from the reprint line.
