After seeing that Kona #8's been uploaded, I have to revise and say that this is quite a strange series. I'd really, really like to know who wrote it.

Lionel Ziprin wrote early Kona and Combat. I suspect he wrote Voyage to the Deep, too--just as hallucinogenic as Kona, and also with Glanzman art. Paul S. Newman took over writing Kona and Combat in the mid-Sixties.
