I have All Good Comics that is missing the last few pages. But it does have the first pages so you now can add color to The Bouncer and Rick Evans.

Bunch of Charltons
« Reply #1001 on: February 13, 2013, 03:07:28 AM »

Thanks to my Milehigh order and document feeder I have just put up a bunch of Charlton comics. The ones marked RAW are just that. They are completely unedited so they need a lot of help.

Thanks, Narf.

You're the best at rounding up those stray Charltons that we need for the site.

Amazing Stories March 1952

This is now available in pulps. I started making the pages black and white. It was more work and I thought the natural pages looked better.

The Charlton Action Heroes are now available at CB+. Thanks to Charlton's sloppy antics they were never properly copyrighted. Too bad Hercules only had the first issue published before they got it right. I am glad I have the full run, just too bad I can not share it here.

Thanks Narf.  Film Fun was a long running British title of which we can always use more examples.  Your uploads today nearly triples the numbers in the meager collection that we had up til now.

A Dell Bonanza
« Reply #1016 on: May 21, 2013, 02:56:33 AM »

No issues of Bonanza but several other new Dells are now up. Since the comic book arm of Dell was gone before the renewals came up nothing unlicensed got renewed. Good for CB+ and our members. If someone wants to research what issues of the licensed stuff was original and not a show adaptation it would be much appreciated. I suspect that most were original so they would be usable at CB+. The other thing is if someone can track the chain of ownership for the comic book properties. There are a lot of post 1963 books that would be great to offer here.

I could not wait until tomorrow to put these up since everyone was clamoring for them. The rest of the pre 1964 Dells that  are PD should be up tomorrow. Give a big thanks to Dell4c for uploading these to me to give to you.

Dell Bonanza the rest are now onsite.
« Reply #1018 on: May 24, 2013, 07:52:49 PM »

Dell may well have been the publisher of the highest quality comics of this time. Painted covers and some of the most sophisticated humor and war stories on the inside. I am glad to have rediscovered these. I forgot how good they really were. The rest of the PD Dells to 1964 are now onsite. Please thank Dell4c for getting the pages to me. I then had the task of converting them all to cbz files to put onsite. If we find the rest of Dell's run to be OK we will post them also. Be warned the quality took a huge nose dive. Dell did not end on a high note. Sad when compared to what they were doing in the early 60's and before.

I expected Kona to be popular and he appears to be. Linda Lark looks to be the next most popular. Could the come hither look of a cover like this be the reason https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=33358&b=i

Vintage Funnies
« Reply #1020 on: May 31, 2013, 07:56:54 PM »

Alan Light published a newspaper strip reprint weekly in the seventies. While it contained copyright strips like Superman and Dick Tracy, it also contained a variety of PD strips. Don Dixon, Tailspin Tommy and Terry and the Pirates are just few that look great. This contains the PD strips from issues 4,15-18. Originally titled Golden Funnies 1-15 the name changed to Vintage Funnies with 16. I have six more issues to scan. It is a pain to scan newspaper size then stitch the files together.
