You're right, the first story certainly looks like Steve Ditko worked on the pencils. Definitely not his inks, and a couple of pages look wrong. I"m not familiar enough with Ditko's early work to speak with certainty.

You can go back to sleep, Rick. This isn't SD. It's a good three years before his first comic work and he didn't jump into the fray this sophisticated. I guess even our heroes had influences.
