I'm glad there's some interest in the That Wilkin Boy comic from Archie. But  I've always wondered if Bingo is related to Wilbur Wilkin,  an older Archie character who also had his own title. Anyone out there know?

Don't know, but he is related to Jughead, as demonstrated in recent Archie comics.

Yeah, I found that out from reading a Jughead Jones digest a few years ago. Archie should bring back the Wilbur Wilkin character and make him a relative of Jughead and Bingo. Speaking of Bingo, his girlfriend Samantha has some similarities to Betty Cooper. Both girls are athletic, except Sam's physical deeds border more on Wonder Woman territory. Well, she definitely inherited "muscle" genes from her strongman father, Mr. Smythe. She reminds me of some of my past girlfriends.

I remember buying That Wilkin's Boy with the first issue and liking it more than Archie at the time because of Samantha and her dad.
