As a kid, I found Captain Atom's brief run in this comic absolutely magical. In Ditko's hands the character and these stories had a lyrical, other-worldly feel which was never recaptured.

Someone gave this issue an undeserved low rating. This is the first Captain Atom. I has art by Ditko. I still have all of the original Space Adventures issues, even the one or 2 with Mastroserio art instead of Ditko. I haven't kept a lot of my old comic books.

Awesome comic (the entire series, actually) and the introduction of Capt Atom makes it just about perfect! Thank you for the upload!

The blue version of Cap's costume is pretty cool. I actually like it better than the final yellow/red color scheme.

Read this on Jerry V's recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed it. The first story was a bit bland but then suddenly you are whacked in the face by Steve Ditko's art on Captain Atom - amazing (though I can't help asking why Atom's radioactive head didn't need covering) Enjoyed the third story too - the Kukons looked like they'd escaped from an old episode of Doctor Who
