Back in the 60s I was always put off by Charltons' low quality &often murky covers and smeared panels . Back in the day these books were everywhere you looked in my neighborhood. Now I can appreciate them for their kitschy goodness.

While the Mr. Dedd image in the ad appears to be an excerpt from the cover for Ghostly Tales #56, credited to Mastroserio, it has been proposed as the first piece of art Jim Aparo had published. Research by Michael W Gallaher has not been able to prove either way.
